Drilling supervision
Day and night consultants from spud to rig release. Daily reporting, cost tracking against AFE, and direct coordination with your drilling engineer.
Wellsite supervision · Alberta & NE British Columbia
Independent drilling, completions and abandonment supervision for operators who need the job done to spec, to budget, and inside the regulations. Day and night consultants, available on twelve hours’ notice.
What we are
Kestrel is six ticketed wellsite supervisors. That is the entire company, and it is deliberate.
Every one of our consultants has run a rig floor and sat in the doghouse through a kick. When you call us you get a name, a resume and a phone number — not whoever the rotation happened to put in the truck this week.
We work directly for the operator. We are not owned by a service company, we take no rebates from vendors, and we have no incentive to keep a rig turning longer than the program calls for. Our recommendation on a well is the one we would make if it were our own money.
Scope of work
Day and night consultants from spud to rig release. Daily reporting, cost tracking against AFE, and direct coordination with your drilling engineer.
Supervision through perforating, stimulation and flowback. On-site pressure monitoring, third-party coordination, and a written completion summary you can hand to your reservoir group.
Service rig supervision for recompletions, pump changes, tubing failures and remedial cement. The unglamorous work that quietly decides your operating cost.
Downhole abandonment, cut and cap, surface reclamation and the paperwork that closes the file. We will tell you honestly where a site sits against your closure obligations.
Licence applications, compliance reviews, incident reporting and audit preparation. We keep current with AER directives so your field paperwork survives an inspection.
Where we work
Our consultants are based across the Peace Country, the Deep Basin and southeast Alberta, so mobilisation is usually measured in hours rather than days.
