Example builds
Three finished sites, not a portfolio of promises.
I’m newer at running this as a business, so rather than show you thumbnails of other people’s work or an empty “coming soon” gallery, I built three complete example sites. All three are fictional businesses. All three are real, finished, five-page builds — the same thing $800 buys.
Click into every page. Open them on your phone. Submit the contact forms. Check how fast they load. That’s the point of them.
How to judge them
What I’d look at, if I were you
- Open them on your phone. That’s where your customers will be. Check that the phone number is easy to hit and the text is readable without pinching.
- Time the load. All three should appear more or less instantly, even on mobile data — including the oilfield one, which is full of photography. Run one through Google PageSpeed Insights if you want the numbers.
- Notice they look nothing alike. Same price, same process, same underlying build quality — but a carpenter, a bookkeeper and an oilfield consultant shouldn’t have the same website. None of them is a template with the colours swapped.
- Read the contact pages. Look at what’s asked for and what isn’t. A form that asks eleven questions gets fewer enquiries than one that asks four — though the oilfield one asks more on purpose, because a spud date and an area save a phone call.
- Count the pages. Five each. That’s the whole product.
Every page of all three examples carries a banner saying it’s a demonstration. Rivet & Pine, Marlowe & Fen and Kestrel aren’t real businesses, the phone numbers don’t connect to anyone, and the testimonials, safety figures and project histories are illustrative. The build quality is the only thing that’s real, and it’s the only thing I’m asking you to judge.
