Bookkeeping for Alberta small business
Your books, current, every month.
We keep the books for trades, clinics, cafés and consultancies across Edmonton. Monthly reconciliation, GST filed on time, and a real person who answers when your accountant asks a question in April.
Your month, closed
Why people call us
Usually in one of three states.
“I’m eight months behind.”
A shoebox, a bank feed nobody has looked at since spring, and a growing dread. This is the most common call we get, and it is entirely fixable. We catch you up first, then keep you current.
“My accountant charges me to clean this up.”
Accountants bill accountant rates to do bookkeeping. Handing them tidy books instead of a bag of receipts usually saves more than our fee.
“I’m doing it myself at 11pm.”
You’re good at your business. Data entry after a twelve-hour day is not what you should be doing with the last hour of it.
The handover
You send us the mess. We send you a number.
Receipts photographed on a phone, a bank feed we can read, and whatever is currently in the shoebox. That is genuinely the whole of what we need from you to get started.
What we do
Monthly bookkeeping, done properly and on time.
Monthly bookkeeping
Transactions categorised, bank and credit cards reconciled, receipts matched, and a profit-and-loss in your inbox by the 10th.
GST/HST filing
Tracked all year and filed on time, every period. No scrambling in the last week and no late-filing penalties.
Payroll
Up to fifteen employees. Direct deposit, source deductions remitted, T4s issued in February without you thinking about it.
Catch-up & cleanup
Months or years behind, we’ll get you current. Quoted as a one-time fixed fee after we’ve looked at the state of things.
Year-end packages
A clean, reconciled year-end file handed to your accountant in the format they actually want. They will notice.
Software setup
QuickBooks Online or Xero set up properly the first time, with a chart of accounts that fits your trade rather than a generic template.
“I was fourteen months behind and genuinely afraid of the mail. They had me current in six weeks and never once made me feel stupid about it.”— Priya S., owner of a two-van HVAC company · illustrative example
“My accountant’s year-end bill dropped by about $1,400 the first year. That paid for most of the bookkeeping.”— Daniel O., café owner · illustrative example
