Pricing

One price. Written down before we start.

Everything below is in Canadian dollars. GST is added where it applies. Nothing on this page changes after you’ve said yes.

The standard build

$800 flat

A complete five-page website, from first call to live domain. This is the whole thing, not a starting point.

  • Five pages, structured and written with you
  • Tested at phone, tablet and desktop sizes
  • Contact form wired up and tested end to end
  • Cloudflare Pages hosting configured on your account
  • Domain guidance, registration help, and DNS setup
  • Search-engine basics: titles, descriptions, sitemap, local business markup
  • Two rounds of revisions before launch
  • Plain-English handoff document with every login

How you pay: $400 to book your build slot, $400 when the site goes live. E-transfer or cheque. An invoice either way.

Start a project

After launch

$50 per hour, one-hour minimum

Changed your hours, added a service, want new photos on the gallery? Email me, I’ll tell you roughly how long it’ll take before I start, and you approve it.

No monthly retainer. I don’t offer one, because most five-page sites need about an hour of attention a year and charging you $99 a month for that would be taking your money.

Small stuff — a typo, a phone number change — I generally just fix. I’m not going to invoice you for two minutes.

What it costs you every year afterwards

None of this is paid to me. These are third parties billing you directly, on your own card, which is exactly how it should be.

WhatWho bills youRoughly
Hosting Cloudflare $0
Domain name Your registrar, in your name $15–25 / year
Contact form service Formspree or similar $0 at typical volume
Business email (optional) Google or Microsoft ~$8 / month
SSL certificate (the padlock) Cloudflare $0, renews itself

Realistically: about $20 a year to keep your website online, unless you want a branded email address. That is not a sales line — it’s just what static hosting costs in 2026.

In context

Where this sits against the alternatives.

I’ve tried to be fair to the other options here. Sometimes they genuinely are the better choice for you.

Plain Page A local agency Wix / Squarespace A $5 gig site
Up-front cost $800 flat $3,000–8,000 $0–300 $100–500
Cost per year after ~$20 $50–200/mo retainer $200–500/yr, forever Varies
Who owns it You, outright Usually you, check the contract You rent it Usually you
Who you speak to The person building it An account manager A help centre article A chat window, different timezone
Time to live Two weeks 6–12 weeks However long you spend on it Days to never
You build it yourself No No Yes, all of it No
Good for online stores No — I don’t do this Yes Yes Sometimes

If you want to sell products online, go to Shopify. If you enjoy fiddling with your own site and have the evenings for it, Squarespace is genuinely decent. I’m the right call when you want it handled, done once, owned by you, and you don’t want to think about it again.

The obvious question

Why is it only $800?

Because the job is genuinely smaller than agencies price it as, and because my costs are low.

I don’t have an office, a sales team, project managers, or account managers. There’s no discovery workshop to bill for. The hosting I put you on is free. And I run this part-time alongside other work, so the $800 doesn’t have to cover a mortgage — which means I can price it at what the work is actually worth.

I also use AI tooling in the build, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. It takes the slow, repetitive parts of writing a website and compresses them. What it doesn’t do is decide what your site should say, check that the form actually delivers to your inbox, or pick up the phone when you call. That’s me, and that’s the part you’re paying for.

The honest trade-off: I’m newer at this than an established agency, and I take one project at a time. If you need forty pages, a booking engine, and a team on retainer, I’m the wrong choice and I’ll say so on the first call.
