Services
What we build, and roughly what it costs.
Every project gets a written fixed-price quote after we’ve measured. The numbers below are honest starting ranges so you know whether to call.
Kitchen cabinetry
Full custom kitchens designed, built in our shop and installed. Solid hardwood face frames, plywood boxes, soft-close hardware throughout. Includes design drawings and one revision. Countertops by a stone supplier we’ll coordinate with.
from $18,000Cabinet refacing
New doors, drawer fronts and hardware on your existing boxes. About a third of the cost of a full kitchen and a week rather than a month. Only worth doing if the existing boxes are sound — we’ll tell you honestly.
from $6,500Built-ins & shelving
Bookcases, window seats, mudroom lockers, media walls, home office units. Scribed to the wall and finished on site so there’s no gap and no filler.
from $3,200Staircases
New stair builds, open-riser conversions, and full railing replacements in wood or wood-and-steel. Engineered and built to current Alberta building code, permits coordinated.
from $9,000Doors, trim & millwork
Interior doors, casings, baseboards, crown, wainscoting and panelling. We mill custom profiles to match original trim in older houses — bring us a six-inch offcut and we’ll match it.
from $2,400Repairs & small jobs
Sticking doors, sagging shelves, a damaged stair tread, one cabinet that never closed right. We keep two days a month for small work, because everybody needs it and nobody will come out for it.

What we don’t do
- Framing and structural work. We’re finish carpenters. If a wall is moving, you need a framer and probably an engineer.
- Decks and fences. Outdoor work is a different trade with different materials. Plenty of good people do it.
- Flooring. We’ll coordinate around your floor installer, but we don’t lay hardwood or tile.
- Full renovations. No plumbing, no electrical, no general contracting. We work happily alongside your GC.
- Flat-pack assembly. If it came in a box from a big-box store, we’re not the right value for your money.
How a project runs
From your first call to the last coat.
1. We come and measure
Free, and usually within a week of your call. We look at the space, talk about wood species and finishes, and take photos and measurements.
2. Drawings and a fixed quote
You get elevation drawings and a written fixed price, typically within a week. One round of revisions is included. The price does not move afterwards.
3. Shop build, then install
Most of the work happens at our shop, so your house isn’t a construction site for a month. Install is usually two to five days, and we clean up.
